The feature water lily for this months is the Red Flare. This water lily has a deep red color with star cup shaped flowers that can get anywhere from 5" to 10" across. The Red Flare also has brownish green leaves that can reach of diameter of 14". The most notorious feature of this lily is the fact that it blooms at night. Night bloomers make the perfect water garden experience for those of you who like to set back and relax by your water garden during the evening. They tend to bloom 3 hours after sundown continue blooming until 3 hours after sunset. The Red Flare's bright red color will become a focal point of your water garden, a very beautiful focal point indeed.
